Back to your Essence

Knowing who you are

You can learn to love yourself!

In every human being, wanting to love oneself is deeply anchored. It is therefore quite special that there are so many people who have trouble loving themselves. We lose the feeling of loving ourselves because of circumstances that make us hate ourselves more and more. You may not feel seen or heard, you may be humiliated or belittled, you may have been bullied, you may have been abused or mistreated, no matter what has happened, the core is always that you have come to love yourself less. Yet underneath all these events there is a deep loving of yourself hidden. All you have to do is find the love for yourself again.

Live freely!

Imagine being able to let go of all your judgments and limiting beliefs. That you no longer have negative thoughts about yourself and no longer set impossible conditions for yourself. Then a deep relaxation comes over you and you start to feel really free. You are happy with the person you are, without constantly wanting to change or improve yourself.

Actually, we should all grow up under ideal conditions, so that you feel the space and freedom to be one hundred percent yourself. Yet far too often we go through experiences that undermine confidence in yourself and make you close your heart, with the result that you are guided by all kinds of limiting beliefs. What you can learn is to find the love for yourself again, so that you can be yourself again without inhibition.

Changing Your Life Path Letting Go & Surrendering

Letting Go & Surrendering

You can never change old experiences, you simply cannot go back in time. However, you can learn how to give a place and process the pain that belongs to that old experience. All too often, your history determines how you look at things now and then harrowing and hurtful events will negatively affect your view of life. You can react differently in the present and realize that it has been the past and that this is separate from your future that is yet to form.

Self-insight and awareness can help you free yourself from old ideas and painful experiences. By getting clear how you are formed, you can make decisions about what you can do to give your life the direction you want.

Processing is letting go

In therapy, comments or advice 'you have to give it a place' or 'you have to process it' are quickly made. What that means exactly is not always clear. By understanding that processing means learning to love yourself again, being kind to yourself and accepting yourself as you are, you can let go of unpleasant events.

Processing is seeing through patterns. Many of these patterns have arisen in childhood and are a reaction to situations you have to deal with as a child. In the past, these patterns were useful to endure events. They are old protection mechanisms that no longer suffice in the present and can actually be abandoned.

Giving up old protection mechanisms is frightening because they have satisfied for a very long time.
That is why it is so difficult to say goodbye to old beliefs and embrace new ones. Something that is known gives a certain familiarity and that familiarity gives a safe feeling. Even though it is not real safety, it still gives the illusion that it is safe. You have to go through a period of uncertainty to come up with new behavior. In that period of uncertainty, good guidance is often indispensable.

Slow down, quiet... and listen

Alignment with the environment, people, animals and nature to get closer to yourself

With unconditional love and support...

... you stay with your essence and you can be and remain yourself

The essence of an individual is understood as the set of qualities, traits, or characteristics that make you who you are. Those qualities, traits or characteristics are largely determined by the upbringing and guidance you receive as a child. Is the love and support you receive really unconditional or do you get entangled as a child in a web full of conditions and expectations?

Unconditional support and love, especially in early childhood, gives confidence that you can be who you are. When corrections and boundaries are given from love, it is safe as a child to be yourself. You don't have to pretend to be different and as a child you can understand that there are rules that you have to comply with. Rules that have nothing to do with the person, but that are necessary to live together pleasantly. You don't have to be afraid of rejection and can just be yourself.

Conditional love makes you insecure as a child. You are only loved when you meet certain conditions, such as:

  • You have to be a sweet and well-behaved child

  • You have to offer support to mom or dad, because they have or are having a very difficult and hard time

  • You can't count on support, because sometimes it's there and other times it's not

There is no reliable source to fall back on with conditional love, and you cannot fully rely on your parents.

Do you dare to break free from deep-rooted patterns...

... to return to your true essence

It is incredibly valuable when someone lets you experience that you can be yourself. This is the reason that falling in love is a very nice period. Falling in love is a time when you let each other be yourself. As soon as judgments, expectations and views start to arise, the infatuation disappears and the contact changes. That's why some people never fall in love, they can't surrender to being allowed to be themselves. The more control you have, the harder it is to fall in love.

If you have not yet stepped out of old conditionings, patterns, protection mechanisms and pains, then you do not yet have a grip on your own life. You are lived by these old experiences and are not really in the here and now. There are a lot of beliefs that can hinder you from being free and keep you trapped in the spell of old ideas and events. It takes courage to confront these ancient ghosts.

It is often a long way to get back to your true essence in one way or another. We stubbornly continue to follow old patterns, often despite knowing that this approach is not good for us at all. The ultimate goal of all of us is to be able to live from the essence that you really are. This means that you can use your own qualities and talents to lead a happy life.

Dare to be satisfied

Let go of your (pre)judgments and come to yourself

Heaven on earth

Finding inner peace and balance within yourself

Create silence in your head and sink your breathing to your body. The silence within yourself brings you to your core. We get distracted so easily and lose contact with ourselves as a result. Balance is found by closing your eyes and making contact with the source within yourself. What is going on, what do you feel, what do you think and are you aware of how your body is?

spiritual leader Robert Bridgeman: 'You only know what you want when you know who you are.'

Questions you can ask to get closer to yourself:

  • What resonates for you?

  • What makes your heart beat faster?

  • What wisdom do you perceive?

  • What do you feel deep inside?

  • What things are really important to you?

  • What is your loving inner voice telling you?

When you let the answers arise from your core, you will experience the following:

  • Your life will take more of the form it is meant to take

  • Then you will experience connection, happiness and fulfillment

  • You will experience a flow and life will take care of you

  • The inner peace will grow and increase more

  • There will be an intense gratitude for life

It's not what you do in life, but the way you do it. You start living as you are 'meant to be'.
