Do you want to help? I would love to! A few days, week or month? We are open to it!

Give more awareness in what you do, instead of the way of work that most of us were taught in society, where efficiency is the only priority. Here, we approach work in a new way, bringing playfulness, body awareness, and fun to our activities.

We invite you to join us to be busy and still take it easy. We have been living like this for years and have been completely relaxed and in the meantime do very meaningful things. We enjoy the moment and experience what is needed, we make sure that we stay relaxed and active.

We speak Dutch, English, German and a little French, so you don't have to speak French to stay with us.

Help us and enjoy the surroundings

Wine, baguette, cheese and lots of sun! That's what most people think of when they think of France. Can you imagine it? Almost every day a beautiful sun and working with us to beautify the houses and the grounds? Are you handy, versatile and not afraid to roll up your sleeves? Then we are looking for you!

For the construction and maintenance of our Retreat center in the middle of France, we are looking for people who want to help us. We are very grateful that you want to help us and are happy to do something in return. That is why we ensure that you have a wonderful stay in 1 of the beautiful rooms or come with your own camper or tent and take advantage of our reduced rate. The Aubergine & Red Pepper rooms are fully furnished. In the fall of 2026, we will continue working on the Saffraan room. In the end, there will be 5 rooms, of which 3 are double rooms and 2 are single rooms. On the ground floor is a spacious bathroom and a separate toilet.

You can use the swimming pool and there is free wifi available.

What will you do?

We will propose in consultation with you which jobs need to be done, you can decide for yourself how and when you want to get started.

Examples of the activities that are there:

  • Maintaining the site, such as mowing, pruning and small green management

  • Small technical jobs, such as repairs, painting or troubleshooting

  • Solving practical problems, such as replacing a broken lamp

  • Cleaning common areas and general facilities

  • Ensuring that the site is tidy, safe and welcoming for our future guests

  • Preparing meals for a number of people

  • Assembling cabinets, beds and the like

  • Setting out nice walking routes in the immediate vicinity

  • Find out what nice sights are in the immediate vicinity

  • Writing fun, catchy texts for newsletter and blog

  • And of course just enjoy a wonderful life in the French nature!

What you can expect from us:

  • Reduced stay in a private bedroom or use our luxury caravan. Of course, you can also bring your own tent, caravan or camper.

  • Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner. The luxury kitchen offers the possibility to prepare your own meals, so you can determine moments of silence or work at your own pace. In consultation, we can take moments to take care of and eat the meal together. We let what is appropriate and pleasant arise.

  • Free use of the swimming pool (open from April to September)

  • Flexible working hours and a good balance between doing something and free time

  • A beautiful place to enjoy and a nice working atmosphere

  • Space to work independently and give your own twist to the maintenance of the site

Dear John and Sanne,

I am now back on my couch in Groningen and look back on great weeks in France. Thank you very much for your hospitality, it was very special. It is immediately familiar because we know each other from your practice in Groningen.

Last year I came by spontaneously for two days and that was already nice, and now I have enjoyed your beautiful place in the nice and quiet Pindray for more than two weeks. What I really appreciated is that you gave me all the peace and privacy.

In consultation I started a job and you gave me complete freedom, felt no pressure, and could also enjoy your grounds and the beautiful surroundings. I got a beautiful place where I was blissful with my camper. I completely relaxed and found out that as a city dweller I can do with very little.

Silence, peace, really dark after 22.00 (street lights go out then) and I enjoyed.
I came to Pindray for that part but also to be in a natural closeness with others. I needed that a lot, I have been living alone for years. And it has done me good, and I thank you for that, with love.

Twice a week with Sanne to the local markets and then you don't walk around completely as a tourist, it feels different. I really appreciated that Sanne immersed herself in the thrift stores and flea markets that I love very much, and where we went together. That gave me the feeling of really being seen, really sweet and cozy and fortunately the enjoyment was mutual!

Almost every day a pleasant moment at 17.00 with a drink and snack and good conversations, and that became even more dynamic when another enjoyment helper was added!

My dog has had the time of her life and fortunately it went well with your animals, otherwise you have a challenge 😆
