If you change your breath, the experience of the moment instantly changes. Awareness of your breathing pattern gives you insight into how you can influence your physical, emotional and mental state. How cool is that?

Breathing, you just do that, don't you? But not everyone takes healthy breathing for granted. Many people have - completely unconsciously - dysfunctional breathing. This often leads to a range of health complaints.

Breathing is literally the first and last thing you do in your life. At birth, we wait for the first sound and at death, you blow your last breath. Eating and drinking we can do without that for a while, but living without breath for a while is impossible. When something threatens to die we breathe new life into it. If your breath falters in your throat, something has given you a huge scare.

If you've had a busy day you sigh out: hey. If something exciting went well, you take a relieved breath; if you experience a relaxed day after a stressful period, this day is a relief. Give your breath space and new energy will come. Breath is life and so breath and life are synonyms.

Breathwork is a term for various breathing techniques

Breathing exercises have a positive effect on our health by reducing Acute stress, stimulating the production of ‘happiness hormones’ and can release stuck Chronic stress.

In the breathing sessions, we mainly use the Connected Breathing Method. During this technique, you breathe deeply in and out in a relaxed manner, for a longer period of time. Due to the increased amount of oxygen in your bloodstream and focusing your attention on rhythmic breathing, after some time you enter a state of expanded awareness.

A special meditative ZEN experience

Emotions, thoughts and breathing are closely linked. When you get angry, you breathe differently than when you are sad. A breathing session makes it much easier to get in touch with your feelings, emotions and your inner compass. This can give powerful insights about what you have to do and help you make any choices.

In the active part of the breath session - because of activation exercises & connected breath work - you enable yourself to sink into a deep meditation, in this phase you learn how to let go of emotions - the release phase. From this state, you know exactly which step you have to take or when you have to wait a while.

We have mainly learned to use our head, our mind. It can therefore sometimes be quite a challenge to be in touch with our gut feeling. That part in yourself where your intuitive abilities reside plus a clear knowing. That is exactly what these sessions achieve, you get back in touch with your deeper being and gut feeling.

Your preparation

For both beginners and people already experienced in breathwork

  • Put on easy-fitting (sporty) clothing in layers (heat regulation).

  • Please bring your own bottle of water and a fine blanket and a small pillow.

  • Please do not eat 3 hours before the session and only drink water or tea.

  • Also do not consume alcohol and/or drugs the day before.

If you have heart problems, severe mental health problems, epileptic problems, extremely high blood pressure or are pregnant? Please let us know in your application so that this can be taken into account.

How does such a breathing session go?

In a breathing session, where you start breathing consciously connected, we look at how breath does or does not flow (the flow) with your experiences and behavioural expressions. During this exercise lasting about an hour, we work towards full and open breathing. In it, you gain access to emotional, physical and spiritual layers that you cannot easily reach in everyday life.
By using the right breathing techniques, you can influence this yourself. Well-known complaints that you can improve with proper breathing are, for instance, energy and stress complaints. Physically, you can also benefit a lot from the sessions and all kinds of emotional tension complaints will diminish or even disappear.

Are the 4 sessions enough to achieve real change?

This programme is structured in such a way that you will make a nice step in your development. Especially if you are already more aware of bottlenecks in yourself, it can go quickly. If you are completely new to the process of becoming aware of yourself, then a follow-up may make sense. In that case, we can add a short number of follow-up sessions.

Are there any health risks associated with this practice?

If you follow the instructions with attention and respect and listen to your body's signals, it is safe for everyone to follow this path. It is never about pushing or forcing yourself to go beyond your limits. It's about discovering yourself and lifting your limitations and obstacles.
In the preliminary interview, we can make very good agreements about this, strengthening your confidence in yourself.

What aftercare is there after following the course?

Breathwork can release all kinds of things in you. You want to be guided in this before and during a breathing session, but certainly also afterwards.
The programme is structured in such a way that during the last session you work towards completing the process. Usually, this is true and you can end the sessions feeling reborn. If it turns out that you are not quite ready for a conclusion, we can arrange an extra session.
In any case, we remain available by phone and e-mail for questions or guidance. A breath session does not end when you walk out the door, but only when you feel good in your body again.

Are stimulants used during a breathing session?

No, that's the beauty of breathwork, you don't need stimulants for it at all. The effect is similar to using stimulants, only you don't have to burden your body with substances that evoke a hallucinatory effect.
With breathwork, you have much more control over the process than with stimulants. If you stop the breathwork, you are back to your positive in no time, whereas with stimulants you have to wait until the dose wears off. With this, you can say that breathwork is much safer than sessions where substances are used to put you in a mind-altering state.

No, the training courses are not reimbursed.

What is the age of people applying?

Most people in our pathways are between 25 and 65, but that does not mean it is ‘not for you’ if you are older or younger. Most importantly, you want to learn something and look at yourself. In our experience, age doesn't matter and soon falls away.

What is the best way to sign up?

After viewing the site and feeling that this training suits you, you can sign up as follows:

  • You register directly, we will receive your application and then contact you to schedule the first session. The next sessions are scheduled in consultation and are often every two weeks.
  • You have some questions and want to discuss them before your registration. You can contact us by phone or request a phone call session. We will be happy to answer your questions.
  • You have several questions or are unsure whether a training course is suitable. Then you can request an intake session, in which there will be enough room to discuss all your questions.
